Position Overview:
- As an Individual Needs / Learning Support Teacher at one of our primary schools, you will be responsible for providing specialised instruction, skills training, and individualised support to students with diverse learning needs and abilities. The role involves assessing students, developing and implementing personalised education plans, facilitating small group learning, and collaborating with classroom teachers to foster an inclusive environment. This role requires you to focus on aiding students’ growth and development both in and out of the classroom.
General Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
- An understanding of the PYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous
- Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute
IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is a crucial requirement for teaching at an ESF school.
