International Rural School is a small, independent British international school located in a beautiful natural setting near Barcelona. Founded in 2017, the school has grown steadily while maintaining its core philosophy of personalised education, small class sizes, and a strong sense of community.
We offer education from Early Years to A Levels and are an official Cambridge International examination centre. Our school brings together local and international families who value a holistic and nurturing approach to learning.
The Early Years stage is a key part of our educational philosophy. Children learn through play, exploration, creativity and outdoor experiences, supported by caring teachers who help them develop confidence, curiosity and a love for learning from an early age.
The Role
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and creative Early Years Teacher who enjoys working with young children and creating a stimulating learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the British Early Years framework
Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment
Support children’s social, emotional and cognitive development
Work closely with colleagues and families
Contribute to the positive and collaborative culture of the school
Requirements
C2 level of English (native or near-native proficiency)
Experience teaching in Early Years within the British system
A recognised teaching qualification
A warm and patient approach with young learners
Strong organisational and communication skills
Desirable
Experience in international schools
Interest in outdoor learning and creative approaches to Early Years education
Knowledge of play-based learning methodologies
