Key Responsibilities of the Advanced Skills Teacher include:

• Setting and reviewing performance management targets

• Supporting colleagues in monitoring planning across each Key Stage/Department

• Collaborating on the review and enhancement of existing work schemes

• Assisting in the oversight of punctuality and attendance protocols

• Aiding in assessment and analysis to address underachievement

• Serving as a liaison with schools to implement strategies for fostering inclusion

• Conducting workshops for students on crucial borderline assessments

• Offering targeted support for both underperforming and high-achieving students

• Designing and facilitating professional development initiatives

• Participating in the planning and execution of dedicated in-service training days

• Identifying necessary CPD activities to bolster school processes for enhancing teaching and learning

• Creating a stimulating learning environment that enhances the school's visual appeal

• Delivering exemplary lessons for NQTs

• Mentoring new teachers

• Conducting workshops for students on key borderline assessments

• Providing tailored support for underperforming or gifted students

• Supporting or spearheading strategies for assisting specific student groups (e.g., boys, girls, Emiratis, G&T).

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
