Aldar Academies is seeking an outstanding Teacher - Primary - (KS2 Maths & Science) to join us at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in August 2026.
Mamoura British Academy provides a British curriculum, catering to mixed-gender students up to Year 8, and transitioning to a girls-only setting from Year 9 onwards. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to excel and achieve their best.

Teaching and Learning:
- Have a strong grasp of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and learning materials, creating displays that foster an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to various ability levels within the classroom.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Observe and assess students in line with school assessment protocols.
- Reflect on classroom practices and adapt the learning environment and planning as necessary.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists, when required.
- Ensure the principles of the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data Management:
- Take responsibility for the academic growth of your class.
- Follow assessment and recording protocols for student progress using Target Tracker.
- Use assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and intervention strategies.
- Update parents and guardians about student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behavior Management and Duties:
- Consistently implement the school's behavior policy.
- Manage classes effectively, utilizing strategies that inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
- Foster positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and decisiveness as needed within the school's behavioral framework.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected from students.
- Maintain high expectations for behavior, encouraging self-discipline and independence in all learners.
- Fulfill assigned duties in accordance with the school's policy.
Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Engage in a curriculum action group, assisting in planning, assessment, resources, and coordinating special events related to the team.
- Help organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities that may occur during evenings or weekends.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding students' achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems like CPOMS as necessary.
- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly Extra-Curricular Activity.
