ROLE SUMMARY:
With a legacy of over 40 years of excellence, Brookhouse offers co-educational British Curriculum education across two campuses in Nairobi for 1,100 students aged 1-19.
Accredited by CIS and IAPS, and a member of Round Square and G-30, Brookhouse serves the international, business, and professional communities in East Africa.
We are currently seeking a Computing Teacher to commence in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering IGCSE and A Level curricula within a British curriculum school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a structured study program for each class with clearly defined aims and objectives, ensuring differentiation for varying student abilities.
- Create lesson plans and conduct individual lessons.
- Evaluate class assignments and homework, assessing student achievement per the agreed Faculty policy.
- Contribute to curriculum development, integrating elements of the British National Curriculum as appropriate.
- Incorporate information technology elements into lesson plans in collaboration with IT department staff.
- Attend necessary meetings, including parent consultation sessions.
- Participate in the duty rota as scheduled.
- Reflect the school's ethical standards in your teaching, as articulated in the school philosophy.
- Provide coverage for absent colleagues and supervise examinations as needed.
- Enhance the school's reputation.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Director and the CMT.
