About This Role

Take pride in creating clean and welcoming spaces?

A clean school helps everyone have the best possible day. From classrooms and corridors to shared spaces, the work you do will help create an environment where pupils can learn, staff can teach and visitors feel welcome.

At Wood Field Primary School, we're looking for a dedicated School Cleaner who enjoys working as part of a supportive team and takes satisfaction in maintaining high standards every day.

About the Role:

As a School Cleaner, you'll help keep our school clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. You'll carry out a range of cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, toilets and communal areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the school.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team. In return, you'll be part of a supportive school community where your contribution is recognised and appreciated, and where the work you do makes a real difference every single day.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Clean, dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop floors, corridors, classrooms, offices, and communal areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, repairs, damages, safety hazards, or vandalism to the Site Manager immediately.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers, mops) is kept clean, maintained, and safely stored after use.
  • Maintain a secure working environment by locking doors, closing windows, and turning off lights upon completing cleaning in designated zones.
