About This Role

Baylis Court School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls aged 11-18 in Slough, Berkshire. We are seeking to appoint, from January 2026 , an exceptional Head of English , to join our fantastic community.

The successful candidate for this post of Head of English will demonstrate commitment to their professional development, innovation in relation to their subject specialism as well as the ability to challenge students of different abilities to include the most able. They will be an outstanding classroom teacher in their career to date with evidence of successful teaching and a commitment to the wider life of a school and able to demonstrate leadership of a department or wanting to pursue the next step to leadership.
