Computing Teacher

We are in search of a proficient Computing Teacher who is dedicated to ensuring that children feel secure, happy, and successful. Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum of England for Key Stage 3, and we implement the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus in Key Stage 4, with aspirations to introduce it as an A Level subject.

Our School

Situated in Hatyai, in southern Thailand, Bloomsbury International School Hatyai is a co-educational International Independent School. Established in 2014, we provide a British-style curriculum to both day and boarding students. Our intimate setting accommodates approximately 200 students aged 2-18, with an average class size of 15. We are dedicated to both supporting and challenging each student to reach their fullest potential. Our students are eager to succeed, and interactions within the school are rooted in mutual respect. Key Criteria

The ideal candidate will:

Be fully fluent in English.

Possess Qualified Teacher status in the UK, or hold a license to teach computing or a related subject to students aged 11-18 in an English-speaking jurisdiction.

Have the expertise and experience to teach Computing up to A Level.

Location

Hatyai is located in southern Thailand, just a 40-minute drive from the nearest beaches in Songkhla, and is conveniently close to Krabi, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Koh Lipe, as well as Penang and Langkawi across the Malaysian border. The international airport offers 16 daily flights to Bangkok and regular flights to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, both of which are just a short distance away, providing access to the rest of Asia. It’s easy to spend weekends or holidays exploring this stunning region.

Hatyai is an emerging city that features a lower cost of living compared to other popular destinations in Thailand. The city boasts large western-style shopping malls and supermarkets, alongside numerous bars and restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines, while still maintaining a distinctly 'Thai' atmosphere. The local people are friendly and welcoming, greeting newcomers with the renowned Thai smile.
