Teacher of Food Technology
Capital School Bahrain – British Curriculum International School

Capital School Bahrain is looking to hire an innovative, passionate, and talented Teacher of Food Technology to become part of our expanding secondary team.

The chosen candidate will instruct Food Technology for Key Stages 3 and 4, providing a dynamic and hands-on curriculum that enhances students’ technical skills, creativity, and comprehension of nutrition, food science, and design processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a well-equipped department within a progressive British curriculum school.

Key Responsibilities include:


Delivering exceptional Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4


Designing and executing both practical and theoretical lessons in line with the English National Curriculum


Preparing students thoroughly for GCSE / IGCSE Food Technology or Food Preparation and Nutrition


Ensuring safe management of practical lessons, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to health & safety protocols


Fostering strong student progress, engagement, and results


Upholding high standards for behavior, effort, and practical outcomes


Collaborating effectively within the Design & Technology faculty and the broader school team

The ideal candidate will possess:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification


A specialization or significant experience in Food Technology / Food Preparation & Nutrition


Experience with the English National Curriculum and external examination courses


Strong skills in practical classroom management and organization


A dedication to inclusive practices, safeguarding, and the wellbeing of students

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
