Teacher of Science and 2nd in Department
About This Role
We are seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational Teacher of Physics who will also take on leadership responsibility as Second in Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school on a journey of growth and transformation and to contribute to our high‑performing Science team. In recent years, Science has achieved the strongest results in the school and continues to lead our improvement journey.
This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in their career. The flexibility to teach all three sciences at KS3 is essential, and being a Physics specialist who can also teach Chemistry at KS4 would be a significant advantage. A proven track record of securing excellent outcomes is highly desirable.
As a key member of our friendly Science team, you will help create an inclusive, aspirational learning environment where every young person is supported to achieve their full potential. We are committed to equity, excellence, and the personal development of every student, empowering them with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to thrive in school, in society, and in life.
If you are a committed educator who believes in the power of high‑quality teaching and leadership to transform lives, we would be delighted to hear from you. We warmly welcome visits and would be pleased to arrange a tour or discuss the role further should you wish to explore the opportunity before applying.
Disclaimer: we reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than the advertised date if we receive applications that meet the criteria. Once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications, so please submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
