We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious cleaner to join our team at St William’s Primary School.
Working pattern: 1.5 hours per day Mon – Fri anytime between 3.30pm - 6.30pm to suit.
Duties will be:
- To clean designated areas of the school to a high standard laid down by the school (e.g. vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, wipe tables and doors, dust, clean lavatories, etc.)
- To replenish washroom/sanitary materials (toilet paper, paper towels and soap)
- To keep cleaning equipment in a clean and working order
- Occasionally there may be a need to change the designated area to cover for sickness or absenteeism.
- To be fully aware and comply with instructions and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work, and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
