All staff members play an active role in the pastoral care of the school, ensuring that students not only reach their academic aspirations but also acquire crucial life skills. This role also includes opportunities for participation in co-curricular clubs and enrichment activities.
We are currently looking for a highly qualified and experienced Physics Teacher to become part of our team starting in August 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide engaging and effective Physics instruction that aligns with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
- Create and deliver innovative lessons that accommodate various learning styles, incorporating modern teaching strategies, hands-on experiments, and technology.
- Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments while upholding high academic standards.
- Offer pastoral support to promote student well-being, collaborating with the school’s well-being team.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and STEM initiatives, including physics clubs or competitions.
- Participate in the enhancement of the curriculum and engage in school improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support professional growth goals.
- Keep parents and stakeholders informed through consistent communication regarding student progress.
- Stay informed about educational advancements and engage in ongoing professional learning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree in Physics or a closely related field, accompanied by a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physics, preferably with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
- The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving.
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience with technology, laboratory work, and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
