Position Overview
We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to join our committed and enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to the holistic development of children, and the ability to work collaboratively in alignment with the school’s ethos, values, and goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognized degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university, accompanied by a PGCE, QTS, or another internationally recognized teaching qualification.
- At least three years of experience teaching in a primary school environment.
- A strong commitment to upholding high standards and implementing a variety of teaching and learning strategies, along with evidence of continuous relevant professional development.
- Skilled in using modern educational technology systems.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom instruction within the subject area, ideally with external validation.
- Current knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in formal assessment processes.
- Support parents in making referrals to external agencies when necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
- Engage in and lead extracurricular activities.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 to CI$67,500 per year, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.
