HS English Teacher
About This Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring educator to join our High School English department, committed to collaborating with both colleagues and students in a forward-thinking learning atmosphere. The ability to support and work alongside fellow educators is essential. Prior experience teaching a diverse array of English subjects, particularly at an advanced level, is highly valued, along with the capability to develop and enhance curriculum. Our aim is to equip students with skills that promote collaboration and establish strong connections to the real world. The initial contract will span two years, starting on 1 August 2026.
Our English curriculum features a variety of courses tailored to meet the diverse needs of all learners. In addition to refining students’ literary analysis skills, AIS English courses focus on cultivating essential abilities in critical reading, effective writing, active listening, and confident speaking. The program adheres to the Common Core Standards and the College Board’s AP syllabi. Currently, our English department provides an extensive selection of non-AP courses alongside AP English Language & Composition, AP Literature & Composition, and the AP Capstone program, which includes AP Seminar and AP Research.
To foster comprehensive growth for each student, all faculty members are responsible for leading a Homeroom Advisory class, providing extracurricular activities, and engaging in our annual overseas Outdoor Education & Leadership Program.
