EXCITING TIMES FOR SCIENCE AT HAILEYBURY ASTANA!
We are seeking an inspiring Head of Faculty to guide the Science department as it transitions into a remarkable new state-of-the-art STEM Centre in August 2025.
This cutting-edge facility will include modern science laboratories and an integrated learning environment that promotes collaboration across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The new STEM Centre is a significant advancement in our educational goals, equipping students and staff with the resources to engage in interdisciplinary learning and research, thereby shaping the future of STEM education.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional and seasoned senior educator dedicated to fostering academic excellence within an engaging and challenging IGCSE & IB curriculum framework.
Candidates should possess the following attributes:
• A passion for working with students, parents, and colleagues;
• Proven experience in effective and strategic leadership;
• Extensive knowledge of KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, and A Level or IB curricula;
• A collaborative approach that prioritizes learning and teaching;
• A drive and capability to inspire others;
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities to engage various stakeholders.

Interviews:
Our recruitment process will be conducted via online video-conferencing with the Senior Leadership team:
• Initial interviews for longlisted candidates will be conducted by the Head and Deputy Head of the Senior School.
• Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held by the Headmaster and HR Director.
All applications will receive acknowledgment. Candidates who have not been contacted for an interview by November 5th can assume they have not been successful and are sincerely thanked by the Board for their interest.
