Founded in 2021, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School (PKXYS) represents a collaborative initiative between the Hong Kong Xinyi Group and the Pui Kiu Education Foundation. It stands out as the first international boarding school in Mainland China to simultaneously deliver both the National Compulsory Education Curriculum and the Hong Kong Curriculum, and it is the inaugural institution in the region to offer a continuous 16-year education program tailored for students from Hong Kong.

Located in the Longhua District of Shenzhen, in proximity to the Shenzhen North Railway Station, the school spans approximately 45,000 square meters with a total construction area of around 180,000 square meters. Its strategic location facilitates quick access, with just 19 minutes required to reach Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and 21 minutes to Futian Port via high-speed rail and Shenzhen Metro Line 4, making daily commutes between Shenzhen and Hong Kong convenient.

Curriculum and Accreditation

PKXYS boasts a comprehensive and diverse curriculum that includes:

• The Mainland Chinese Middle School Curriculum
• The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)
• International Curricula: IGCSE, A-Level, and NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)

PKXYS is notable for several significant achievements:

• It is the first school in Mainland China to engage in an External School Review by the Hong Kong Education Bureau, conducted by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).
• It has received official recognition as operating with a model akin to Hong Kong’s subsidized or directly-funded schools.
• It is an authorized Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) institution (Global Centre Code: CX221).
• It is recognized as an NCUK-accredited school, authorized to deliver the IFY program.

Job Description

Teaching Responsibilities

• Create and submit semester teaching plans with defined instructional objectives.
• Deliver all lessons in English, ensuring high academic standards and fostering student engagement.

Communication Responsibilities

• Regularly participate in departmental and staff meetings.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
• Build positive relationships with parents, providing consistent updates on students' academic progress.

Support Responsibilities

• Engage in school management activities, supervision duties, and promotional events as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a relevant academic discipline. (Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s degree along with a recognized teaching qualification.)
• At least five years of teaching experience in IGCSE, A-Level, HKDSE, or other accredited international curricula. (Candidates with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in education-related fields must have a minimum of two years of teaching experience.)
• A strong understanding of educational methodologies and curriculum development.
