Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction:
- Assist in developing the school’s strategic plan.
- Supervise curriculum and assessment, staff development, and student wellbeing.
- Evaluate the impact across significant areas of school operations.
Boarding Standards:
- Ensure adherence to school policies that comply with the National Minimum Standards for co-educational boarding in Bangladesh, in line with COBIS Compliance.
- Foster consistency in operational practices concerning boarding standards within a coeducational framework.
- Review the effectiveness of practices on a termly basis.
Safe, Happy, Successful Students:
- Create initiatives that promote high performance, entrepreneurial learning, and student leadership.
- Ensure effective study arrangements that support ongoing academic achievement.
- Oversee safeguarding standards.
- Maintain proactive and positive communication with parents.
Key Attributes:
Qualification & Experience
Essential:
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).
- A strong academic background, preferably with a master’s degree in educational leadership.
- Experience serving as a housemistress or housemaster.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in an outstanding educational setting.
Desirable:
- Level 3 safeguarding training, preferably with a BSA qualification.
- First Aid certification from a recognized training organization.
- Evidence of recent professional development in pastoral leadership.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven capability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and the wider school community.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to set objectives and monitor progress.
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance through coaching and mentoring initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of impactful teaching methodologies in a high-performing school.
- In-depth knowledge of assessment practices that influence student learning.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a range of audiences.
