Brandon School Division is seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals eager to engage in learning as Uncertified Substitute Teachers for the 2026/27 academic year. Candidates must show a knack for working with children and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities. A willingness to collaborate within a team and to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a professional demeanor is essential. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a degree and/or diploma from an accredited institution. Those with experience in supporting children with diverse needs, coaching, providing childcare, or holding youth leadership roles are particularly encouraged to apply.
Please take note of the following important information: Successful applicants will need to participate in a three-day unpaid training session scheduled for the summer months. Completion of this training is mandatory for eligibility to work as an uncertified substitute teacher. As you will not hold a teaching certification, the Brandon School Division will facilitate the application for a Limited Teaching Permit on your behalf. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
