Arabic Teacher (Arabic B)
Reach British School is seeking an exceptional, passionate, adaptable, and committed Arabic Teacher (Arabic B – Non-Native Speakers).
The preferred candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for teaching Arabic as a second language and will be dedicated to delivering stimulating, well-organized lessons that foster students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. They will provide constructive, tailored feedback in line with vital school policies, including Teaching & Learning and Assessment, ensuring students are supported, challenged, and inspired to attain outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality Arabic B lessons that are consistent with the school’s curriculum and planning frameworks (LTPs, MTPs, and STPs).
- Teach Arabic to non-native speakers, facilitating language learning from beginner to intermediate levels.
- Enhance students’ confidence in speaking and listening, while employing a systematic approach to improve reading and writing skills.
- Introduce age-appropriate grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures to aid practical communication.
- Foster an appreciation for Arab culture and traditions through the language acquisition process.
- Structure lessons effectively to sustain pace, challenge, and engagement.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the varied language abilities within the classroom.
- Utilize interactive techniques, games, and hands-on activities to boost language retention and fluency.
- Assign relevant and engaging homework to reinforce and extend learning.
- Incorporate peer and self-assessment to encourage reflection and growth.
- Maintain high standards of behavior and classroom management as per school policy.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners, including students with special educational needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students feel secure practicing a new language.
AMAR: Academic Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting
- Conduct accurate formative and summative assessments of language proficiency, moderating as needed.
- Track student progress in language learning and use assessment data to inform planning.
- Provide systematic, meaningful, and age-appropriate personalized feedback.
- Complete customized reports in accordance with the school’s Assessment and Reporting Policy.

Person Specification
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the UK or at a British Curriculum school.
- Experience in teaching Arabic as an additional language (Arabic B / Non-Native Speakers).
- A solid understanding of language acquisition strategies and contemporary assessment practices.
- Outstanding classroom management skills.
- Experience with data systems, student tracking, intervention strategies, and reporting.
- A commitment to exceptional teaching and learning.
- Proficiency in using IT applications.
