The British School of Bucharest is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to become part of our accomplished team starting in August 2026.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths at IGCSE, AS, and A level. While not mandatory, having the ability to teach Further Maths would be a plus, as would expertise in an additional subject such as Science. The successful applicant will also engage in our extensive co-curricular program, serve as a form tutor, advocate for Maths throughout the school, and actively participate in our enrichment initiatives.

At BSB, we prioritize providing a comprehensive and balanced curriculum grounded in the National Curriculum of England and Wales, with students undertaking IGCSE and A levels. We maintain full international membership with HMC and hold BSO status through the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Additionally, BSB is an accredited member of COBIS and is one of just 21 COBIS Training Schools globally.

We offer:

• A competitive salary and benefits package, which includes an accommodation allowance, annual flights, and private medical insurance.

• A nurturing and inclusive environment that values diversity, professionalism, and innovation.

• Exceptional opportunities for professional development, supported by a dedicated and experienced leadership team.

• The opportunity to collaborate with committed colleagues in a school celebrated for its high standards and supportive atmosphere.

• An international context that combines academic excellence with a strong sense of community.

We are looking for:

• A recognized teaching qualification and relevant experience in the UK or an international school setting.

• A genuine passion for pastoral care in a secondary education environment.

• A solid understanding of effective teaching strategies, along with a commitment to uphold the school’s values and educational standards.

• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and strong communication skills.

• The capacity to work collaboratively while maintaining the utmost standards of conduct and confidentiality.

• Flexibility, including the willingness to teach virtually when necessary.

Join us in our mission to broaden horizons through education – experience it yourself. Become part of our international team and make a difference!

This school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
