About This Role

The British International School of Stockholm is seeking a qualified, passionate, and committed English teacher. The selected individual will be tasked with delivering a dynamic and thorough English curriculum for Key Stage 3 students, as well as preparing them for IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme examinations.

Key Responsibilities:


Promote the school's mission and core values.


Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.


Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality lessons.


Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and advance the English curriculum.


Ensure students are held accountable to foster a productive learning environment.


Keep abreast of current educational research and developments.

Minimum Qualifications:


Demonstrated experience teaching English to students in Years 7 to 13.


Possess a valid teaching qualification (UK BEd or PGCE with an appropriate degree, or equivalent recognized teaching qualifications from other countries).


Proficient in English, both in writing and speaking.


Eligible to reside and work in Sweden.


A proven track record of inspiring, motivating, and engaging students.


A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, both inside and outside the classroom.


Excellent communication abilities, with a strong capacity for collaboration.


Committed to continuous professional development, with a focus on achieving objectives and delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications:


Experience and knowledge in teaching IBDP English Language and Literature.


Familiarity with international education systems, specifically IGCSE and IB curricula.

Compensation
