About This Role
The British International School of Tbilisi (BIST) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated personnel to join our vibrant independent school community. Currently, BIST serves approximately 500 students aged 3 to 18 from over 54 different nationalities. Our state-of-the-art campus, which spans more than 15,000 square meters, is beautifully located by a natural lake, offering stunning views of the city from the hills. Our advanced facilities are designed to foster innovative teaching and learning suited for the 21st century. We combine the English National Curriculum with the International Primary Curriculum to create a flexible and creative educational pathway leading to Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels at Key Stages 4 and 5. BIST proudly holds the status of a Patron's Accredited Member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
We currently have an opening for the following position, primarily due to the school's expansion, commencing in August 2026:
Primary Teacher (Key Stage 2) (Fluency in English is essential, along with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.)
At BIST, our students and staff actively engage in supporting the wider community through various BIST community programs. Teachers are expected to contribute to our cross-curricular initiatives, our extensive extra-curricular offerings, and the PSHE program.
Ideal candidates will have recent experience in UK or international settings, exhibit high motivation, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and possess UK qualifications or internationally recognized equivalents. An understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with living in a rapidly developing country would be beneficial.
