About This Role

Job Role

This position demands a high degree of professional responsibility to ensure effective lesson planning, precise assessment of student progress, and the ongoing provision of exceptional teaching and learning throughout Key Stages 3-5. The individual in this role will be expected to uphold rigorous academic standards, aid in examination preparedness, and engage in school-wide responsibilities in line with school policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities


Create and implement engaging Science lessons that adhere to the British Curriculum, with a preference for a specialization in Biology or Physics.


Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all learners and foster inclusive educational practices.


Evaluate, monitor, and report on student progress, utilizing data to guide instructional decisions.


Ensure high standards of classroom management and promote student wellbeing.


Participate in curriculum development, enrichment programs, and STEM initiatives.


Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader school community.

Qualifications & Experience


Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science (in a relevant specialism) along with a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE or its equivalent).


Possess at least 2-3 years of experience teaching Secondary Science in a British Curriculum school (experience in the UAE is preferred but not mandatory).


Demonstrate strong subject expertise and a proven history of student success.


Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities.


Show a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable


Experience teaching at KS5 / A-Level.


Ability to lead extracurricular science clubs, competitions, or STEM initiatives.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
