Site Manager
About This Role
The Governing Body are looking to appoint a reliable, professional and proactive Site Manager to join our team. You will be required to manage all relevant aspects of the school site, including maintenance, routine and emergency repairs, statutory compliance and health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will support the school in providing a safe and welcoming learning environment.
You will work closely with the School Business Manager on building and improvement projects.
We are looking for a calm, proactive, and highly organised person, with the ability to work effectively in an ever-changing environment.
You will be required to prioritise workloads confidently, respond effectively to emergencies, and adapt flexibly to the needs of the school.
Duties will also include the supervision of cleaning staff to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school’s premises.
Our ideal candidate will:
Have the skills to carry out minor repairs and improvements
Be able to cope with physically challenging duties
Willingness to undertake further training as required
Flexibility to work varied hours and shift patterns in line with the needs of the school
Have good IT, written and communication skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, stakeholders, and the wider community
Be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
Have previous health and safety training/knowledge, including COSHH and risk assessments
Previous experience in estates or facilities management would be advantageous
