Trainer Coach Business Admin and Health Social Care
About This Role
The Vacancy
We’re growing and this is an exciting time to join the Apprenticeship Directorate at East Durham College.
Our apprenticeship provision continues to expand, and we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Trainer Assessors to help shape the future workforce in Business
Administration and Health and Social Care. Working closely with apprentices and employers, you will play a key role in supporting learners to build the skills, confidence and professional behaviours they need to succeed in their careers. Applicants with experience across both Business Administration and Health and Social Care would be particularly welcome.
This role is about more than delivering a qualification. It is about coaching, motivating and guiding apprentices throughout their journey, helping them apply their learning in the workplace and achieve their full potential. You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team that is committed to high-quality apprenticeship delivery, strong employer partnerships and positive learner outcomes.
We are keen to hear from applicants with relevant vocational experience who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting others to progress. Previous experience in teaching, training or assessment would be an advantage, but it is not essential. If you bring strong industry experience, a commitment to quality and the motivation to develop your own teaching and assessment skills, we can provide the support and training to help you succeed.
If you are ready to take the next step in your own career while making a real difference to apprentices, employers and the wider community, we would love to hear from you.
Main Duties of the Role:
- Facilitate an effective and quality apprenticeship learning experience to a cohort of work-based learners in all aspects of health and social care
- Coach and train apprentices in both workshop and one-to-one sessions that supports the development of new skills, knowledge and behaviours as defined within the relevant apprenticeship standard.
- Design and implement workshop/training sessions in college or the workplace as a mandatory requirement of the off the job training
- Monitor, review and regularly assess the progress of apprentices.
Essential Requirement:
Up to date vocational competence in area of expertise
