Teacher (ASSC - Secondary Activity Centre)
About This Role
Seeking an innovative, passionate and responsive teacher interested in the holistic well-being of secondary-aged students.
This is a fixed term, full-time position (open to 4 days per week for the right candidate) for an experienced teacher, beginning in Term 2, 2026 (as close to Monday 20 April 2026, as possible) and ending at the end of Term 1, 2027 (Friday 9 April 2027), or the end of Term 4, 2026 (Tuesday 8 December 2026) if the successful candidate prefers.
This position is appropriate for primary or secondary-trained teachers. Please state subject specialism.
Our ideal candidate has strong behaviour management skills, excellent organisational and IT skills and can facilitate learning across the curriculum up to NCEA level with the support of Te Kura.
Culturally responsive practice is expected. Flexibility and a sense of humour are essential.
All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Aotearoa New Zealand, and hold a current Practising Certificate or hold a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) from the Teachers Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
