ADNOC Schools is on the lookout for an exceptional Special Education Needs Teacher. This position is located at ADNOC School - Abu Dhabi Campus.

Responsibilities:
• Foster a learning environment that supports exceptional educational practices
• Establish clear teaching and learning goals
• Design tasks that challenge students and maintain high engagement levels
• Set appropriate and ambitious expectations
• Define clear targets based on prior achievements
• Recognize SEN or gifted students, ensuring their needs are met through tailored approaches
• Structure lessons effectively to sustain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment for learning effectively
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform planning, delivering differentiated lessons
• Uphold discipline in accordance with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while promoting punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework completion
• Employ a range of teaching strategies to:
i. Align approaches with content, organize information, present essential ideas, and use suitable vocabulary
ii. Implement effective questioning, attentively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Select appropriate learning resources and promote study skills through the library, ICT, and other educational technologies
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and utilize findings to enhance specific teaching aspects
• Provide feedback on student work at least bi-weekly and establish progress targets
• Use performance data to guide planning, ensuring that Learning and Teaching continue to ‘add value’
• Systematically assess and record student progress, maintaining records to monitor understanding, strengths, and areas needing development, thereby informing planning and recognizing achievement levels
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents
• Participate in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Stay current with subject knowledge through continuous professional development and professional reading
• Attend relevant professional development workshops
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as necessary.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A passion for and commitment to nurturing students
• A Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education or a related field, alongside a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, with a minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A dedication to an extensive enrichment program
• Active and recent involvement in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to work
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
