As we continue to grow, St. George’s School is seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic primary department, with an expected start date in August 2026 or sooner if possible.
The School
Founded in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has rapidly developed into a lively community comprising around 800 students and 100 educators. As we strive to sustain our growth, our ethos combines an enriching curriculum with a nurturing, family-like environment that welcomes both staff and students.
In September 2017, we embarked on an exciting journey by moving to a modern campus within the city, equipped with outstanding educational resources for all age groups and subjects.
The National Curriculum is followed throughout the school, with IGCSE qualifications offered to our Upper School students. Sixth Form students prepare for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
As part of a network of three schools across Germany, St. George’s provides the successful candidate with various opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
The Location
Our new campus is located in Schwabing-Freimann, to the north of the city center, conveniently accessible by the U6 metro line and the A9 motorway.
Munich, the capital of Bavaria and the third-largest city in Germany, is a vibrant cultural center with a diverse international community. Situated at the base of the Alps, the city offers a high quality of life and numerous opportunities for travel and outdoor pursuits.
Munich Airport is approximately 30 km from the school, providing multiple daily flights to the UK, along with high-speed rail connections to various European destinations.
The Role
We are in search of a qualified Primary Class Teacher to enhance our lively primary department.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring educator with a strong history of helping students achieve their fullest potential. We are looking for someone who possesses a combination of experience, passion, and enthusiasm for teaching that will energize our students.
As the Primary Class Teacher, you will serve as the primary contact for students and their families, guiding and nurturing their academic, social, emotional development, and overall well-being. Teachers are expected to carefully track students’ progress and maintain consistent communication with parents.
Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are essential. A genuine interest in enriching the department's vibrant extra-curricular programs will be an asset.
Given the dynamic nature of our school, flexibility and a willingness to assist fellow team members are important. A strong dedication to enhancing the school’s rich pastoral and extra-curricular activities is also preferred.
