ABC Private School in Abu Dhabi is a well-regarded and highly sought-after ENC School. We are currently seeking Primary teachers to enhance our existing team in response to an exceptional influx of admissions for the upcoming academic year.
For the 2024/25 academic year, each year group in our Primary section is expected to consist of seven classes, as we expand our capacity to accommodate up to 2600 FS1 to Year 13 students from over 16 nationalities.
Established in 2016 at our current location in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi, ABC is dedicated to continuous investment and enhancement of the school, aiming to achieve BSO accreditation within the next twelve months, which will allow us to offer ECT Statutory Induction in future years. Our school features outstanding facilities and is well equipped.
Mrs. Allison McDonald, the Principal, recently joined ABC from Al Basma British School, where she successfully elevated the school's rating from satisfactory to very good, featuring numerous outstanding aspects during her nine-year leadership. As an experienced Principal in the UAE, she is committed to a holistic educational approach that nurtures each student's unique talents, sparks their curiosity, and instills a passion for learning. Ms. Allison fully supports ABC's dedication to fostering inclusivity and creating a nurturing environment that empowers students to explore, innovate, and thrive.
ABC adheres to the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the revised 2020 Development Matters Framework for EYFS. We utilize GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Year 4 to Year 10. Additionally, our older students have access to a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exam boards. Starting in September 2024, we will introduce a range of BTEC qualifications to better customize educational pathways for our students.
In February 2022, ABC was rated as good in the ADEK inspection.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in Primary with QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor's Degree in any subject along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Primary or Early Years education with QTS or equivalent.
or
• An internationally recognized Bachelor's Degree focused on an aspect of Primary Education with QTS or equivalent.

Our compensation package for overseas UK qualified appointments includes:
