ADNOC Schools is on the lookout for a Librarian to join our team starting in August 2025. This position is located at ADNOC School, Sas Al Nakhl Campus in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Library Management System (LMS) – Follett Destiny, which includes uploading and inputting patron information, circulating the collection, and cataloging resources acquired locally.
- Train the Library Assistant on the LMS, resource processing, and other relevant tasks.
- Create a welcoming environment in the Library and Independent Learning Centre (ILC) through displays, information posters, and brochures, while encouraging users to respect the Library space and suggest improvements.
- Manage the Library Instruction Lab, maintain an updated booking system, and ensure that all equipment and facilities are functional.
- Advocate for the use of Destiny Quest, the Library Catalogue’s end-user interface, through professional development sessions for Faculty and scheduled student sessions.
- Encourage the use of library-subscribe online databases.
- Organize and conduct Library Orientation sessions for both faculty and students at the start of the academic year, reinforcing Library Use Guidelines throughout the year by liaising with Advisors, Academic Supervisors, and the Dean of Students.
- Collaborate with Academic Departments to develop and implement scheduled instruction sessions on Library Skills (Upper Primary, Middle Schools) and Information and Research Skills for all High School students.
- Share information on newly acquired resources and potential acquisitions/subscriptions with Academic Department Heads.
- Report any violations of Library Use Guidelines or the ADNOC Schools Code of Conduct to the Dean of Students according to established procedures.
- Notify the General Services Division of any maintenance issues.
- Determine stationery and equipment needs and utilize established procurement procedures to place orders.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science.
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Libraries or Learning Resource Centers, including experience working with children and/or young adults, with a focus on analysis, design, and networking.
