Introduction:
The First & Future Steps International School Bangkok (FSB) is a dynamic and cheerful primary institution situated in the core of Bangkok. With a diverse population of over 370 students aged from 1.5 years to Year 6, we take pride in cultivating a supportive atmosphere that enables children to evolve into confident communicators, compassionate individuals, and engaged community members. As we expand our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) program, we are on the lookout for an outstanding leader to enhance our team.
Position: Head of EYFS
We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Head of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an EYFS specialist with a robust educational background, preferably holding a Master’s degree, and potentially possessing leadership credentials. You will be tasked with designing and executing a top-tier EYFS curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of our students, including those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline. Leadership qualifications are a plus.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in EYFS within the UK education system, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- International Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an international school environment is crucial.
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework, superb communication and interpersonal abilities, and a talent for inspiring and motivating others.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt and thrive in a newly established role, with an openness to change and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the creation and implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring it is child-focused, inclusive, and adheres to best practices.
- Cultivate a positive and cooperative team culture by supporting and mentoring EYFS staff in achieving their professional aspirations.
- Collaborate closely with parents and the larger community to foster engagement and support for children’s learning and growth.
- Assess and enhance the quality of teaching and learning within the EYFS, utilizing data to inform practices and drive improvements.
- Ensure adherence to all safeguarding and welfare regulations, creating a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
- Work alongside school leadership to contribute to the strategic vision and development of the institution.
