About This Role

Aldar Education is actively looking to fill the role of Head of Careers & Alumni, joining our expanding network of owned and operated schools in the UAE. This senior position is located at ADNOC Schools and will collaborate with all four campuses. ADNOC Schools follow the Massachusetts State Curriculum and provide exceptional educational environments in Abu Dhabi City and the Western Region of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The anticipated start date for this role is January 2025.

The position requires strategic thinking and a solid understanding of how to achieve outstanding educational outcomes across the school. Candidates should be dedicated to collaborating with other schools in the group and finding innovative ways to engage with strategic partners to further the goals of the school, the broader group, and the UAE’s educational vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive alumni contact database.
  • Organize and oversee alumni events, including reunions, homecomings, and networking activities.
  • Keep alumni informed about school news and events through regular communication, including newsletters, emails, and social media.
  • Cultivate a sense of community and belonging among alumni.
  • Create networking opportunities for alumni to foster professional and social connections.
  • Provide platforms for alumni to share their success stories, experiences, and expertise with current students.
  • Collaborate with the school's development office to engage alumni in fundraising initiatives.
  • Pursue alumni donations, endowments, and sponsorships to support school programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance alumni giving and participation rates.
  • Create and manage mentorship programs that connect alumni with current students.
  • Implement various Exam Prep programs to support students in grades 10-12.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mentorship and exam programs, particularly those involving third parties.
  • Plan and execute alumni-related events, managing logistics, invitations, and follow-up.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events that provide value to attendees.
  • Develop marketing materials and content to engage alumni.
  • Utilize various communication channels, such as social media, newsletters, and the school website, to promote alumni activities and accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) with PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Master’s degree in Education.
  • Leadership/Management.
  • Administrative/Leadership certification.
  • Proven experience managing College Board Programming.
  • A data analysis qualification is advantageous.

Minimum Experience

  • 6 years of experience, including 4 consecutive years of teaching performance that exceeds standards and expectations as demonstrated by Performance Appraisal.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Teaching certification and substantial experience in Careers guidance and/or Alumni development.
  • Leadership experience in a school or educational institution.
