About This Role

Aldar Education is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Head of Careers & Alumni, joining our expanding network of schools in the UAE. This prominent position is based at ADNOC Schools and will involve collaboration across all four of our campuses. Operating under the Massachusetts State Curriculum, ADNOC Schools provide exceptional learning environments in Abu Dhabi City and the Western Region of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The anticipated start date for this role is January 2025.

The ability to effectively address the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders, from Board members to parents, teachers, and school leaders, is essential. Outstanding communication skills and a commitment to being a visible leader and representative for the school are crucial for this position.

This role demands high-level strategic thinking alongside a clear understanding of how to achieve exceptional educational outcomes throughout the school. Candidates must be dedicated to fostering partnerships with other schools within the group and identifying ways to engage with strategic partners to support the school's initiatives, the group’s overall mission, and the broader educational vision for the UAE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive database of alumni contacts.
  • Organize and oversee alumni events, including reunions, homecomings, and networking functions.
  • Regularly engage with alumni through newsletters, emails, and social media to keep them updated on school news and events.
  • Cultivate a sense of community and belonging among alumni.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities that encourage professional and social connections among alumni.
  • Provide platforms for alumni to share their success stories, experiences, and expertise with current students.
  • Collaborate with the school's development office to involve alumni in fundraising initiatives.
  • Solicit donations, endowments, and sponsorships from alumni to support school programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies aimed at increasing alumni contributions and engagement.
  • Establish and manage mentorship programs that link alumni with current students.
  • Implement a variety of Exam Prep programs to assist students in Grades 10-12.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of mentorship and exam preparation programs, especially those involving third parties.
  • Plan and carry out alumni-related events, managing logistics, invitations, and follow-up.
  • Ensure events are smoothly executed and offer significant value to participants.
  • Develop marketing materials and content to engage alumni effectively.
  • Utilize multiple communication channels, such as social media, newsletters, and the school website, to promote alumni activities and achievements.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with PGCE or another teaching qualification.
  • Master’s degree in Education.
  • Leadership/Management training.
  • Administrative/Leadership certification.
  • Proven experience in managing College Board programming.
  • Data analysis qualification is a plus.

Minimum Experience

  • Experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated success in alumni relations or community engagement.
