The Position
Aldar Education is on the lookout for a dynamic English Teacher for the Middle School/High School level, ready to start immediately. This opportunity is available at ADNOC School - Abu Dhabi Campus.

Responsibilities:
• Foster a learning environment that supports exceptional educational practices
• Establish clear teaching and learning goals
• Design challenging tasks that engage students and promote high interest levels
• Set appropriate and ambitious expectations
• Define clear objectives that build on students' prior knowledge
• Identify students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities, ensuring their requirements are met through tailored instruction
• Provide structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment effectively to enhance learning
• Analyze performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and ensure differentiated instruction
• Uphold discipline in line with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while promoting punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework compliance
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align teaching methods with content, organize information, present key ideas, and utilize appropriate vocabulary
ii. Engage in effective questioning, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Choose suitable learning resources and foster study skills through the library, ICT, and other educational technologies
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and leverage insights to enhance teaching methods
• Assess and provide feedback on students' work at least biweekly, setting targets for improvement
• Use performance data to shape lesson planning, ensuring that learning and teaching consistently add value
• Systematically assess and document student progress, maintaining records to track understanding and completion of work, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and guiding planning
• Conduct assessments as required by examination boards, departmental guidelines, and school protocols
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
• Participate in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and instructional strategies
• Stay current with subject knowledge through continuous professional development and reading
• Attend relevant professional development workshops
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A passion for education and a caring approach
• A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field, accompanied by a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, along with at least 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant area
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A dedication to a comprehensive enrichment program
• Recent and active participation in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-focused attitude towards work
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
