Aldar Education is on the lookout for an exceptional English Teacher for Middle School/High School, ready to start immediately. This opportunity is available at ADNOC School - Abu Dhabi Campus.

Responsibilities:
• Foster a learning environment that promotes excellence
• Define clear teaching and learning goals
• Assign tasks that engage students and stimulate interest
• Establish high and appropriate expectations
• Set clear objectives based on prior achievement
• Identify students with special educational needs or exceptional capabilities and ensure their requirements are met through tailored approaches
• Provide structured lessons that maintain momentum, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment for learning effectively
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction
• Uphold discipline in line with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while promoting positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align methods with content, organize information, present key concepts, and use suitable vocabulary
ii. Apply effective questioning techniques, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Select appropriate learning resources and enhance study skills through the library, I.C.T., and other educational technologies
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and utilize insights to enhance teaching practices
• Grade student work at least bi-weekly and set progress targets
• Use performance data to inform planning, ensuring that learning and teaching remain effective
• Systematically assess and document student progress, keeping records to verify understanding and completion, track strengths and areas for improvement, and inform planning
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
• Participate in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Stay current in subject knowledge through continuous professional development and professional reading
• Attend relevant professional development workshops
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal when necessary.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A passion for education and a caring demeanor
• A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, along with a PGCE or another teaching qualification, and at least 2 years of teaching experience in the subject area
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A commitment to a comprehensive enrichment program
• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
