HeadStart is situated in the heart of Phuket Island and has held ‘International School’ status since 2010. We are fully accredited by The Education Development Trust, and during our latest inspection, we received the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM), with accreditors recognizing us as a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features.’
Our curriculum aligns with the national curriculum of England, providing Cambridge and Pearson qualifications at the secondary level, including IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTECs. The main campus at Chaofah accommodates 960 students and is oversubscribed in many year groups. As of August 2025, we will expand our Upper School facilities to establish 'HeadStart College' as the leading educational institution in Southern Thailand.
In August 2023, we inaugurated a new campus in the northern part of the island, Cherngtalay. This two-form entry Foundation, Primary, and Secondary School (KS3 only) is designed for up to 500 students, with plans to transition to a three-form entry school by August 2025.
English Teacher - Chaofah Campus
As we grow our Upper School site and its Sixth Form and Key Stage 4 programs, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated English teacher to begin in August 2025.
The ideal candidate will possess experience teaching across the secondary age spectrum, including A Level instruction. They should be an inspiring educator capable of making the subject engaging and dynamic. Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum would be beneficial.
Please note: This role is for a First Language English teacher, not for EAL/Second Language instruction. We are looking for a highly dedicated team player with enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for inspiring students to develop a love for learning. A good sense of humor and a strong work ethic are essential.
Requirements / Application Details
Essential Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Experience teaching students aged 11 to 18
- Previous experience teaching A Level English
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- A valid teaching qualification: BEd, PGCE, iPGCE, or equivalent
- Must be a fluent English speaker
Desirable Requirements (not mandatory):
- Experience in an International School setting
- Background in teaching English to Additional Language learners
Remuneration Package:
