The Position
Aldar Education is on the lookout for exceptional Elementary Classroom Teachers to start in January 2025. This opportunity is available at ADNOC School - Abu Dhabi Campus.

Responsibilities:
• Fostering a learning environment that promotes excellent educational practices
• Establishing clear teaching and learning objectives
• Designing tasks that engage students and sustain high levels of interest
• Setting appropriate and challenging expectations
• Developing clear targets that build on prior achievements
• Identifying students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities and ensuring their requirements are met through tailored instruction
• Providing structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilizing assessment effectively to facilitate learning
• Leveraging performance data and key indicators to guide lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction
• Upholding discipline in accordance with the school's ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while promoting punctuality, behavior standards, and quality of work
• Employing a variety of teaching strategies to:
i. Align approach with content, organize information, present key ideas, and use suitable vocabulary
ii. Use effective questioning techniques, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Select appropriate learning resources and foster study skills through the library, ICT, and other learning technologies
• Evaluating learning objective attainment and using this information to enhance specific teaching areas
• Grading student work at least biweekly and establishing progress targets
• Utilizing performance data to inform lesson planning and ensure continued value in learning and teaching
• Systematically assessing and documenting student progress, maintaining records to track understanding and completion, and identifying strengths and development areas for informed planning
• Conducting assessments as mandated by examination bodies and school procedures
• Preparing and delivering informative reports to parents
• Participating in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Keeping subject knowledge current through professional development and reading
• Attending relevant professional development workshops
• Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal when necessary.

You must be a fully qualified educator with:
• A passion for teaching and caring for students
• A Bachelor in Education or a related Bachelor's Degree with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, along with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the field
• Experience with the American curriculum
• A commitment to a comprehensive enrichment program
• Recent and consistent participation in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
