The Director of Enrichment will spearhead and enhance the school's "beyond the classroom" offerings, ensuring alignment with the GEMS School of Research and Innovation's vision for a holistic, future-oriented education. This position entails designing and implementing a high-caliber program of co-curricular activities, excursions, service opportunities, and academic enrichment that is engaging, challenging, and values-driven. The Director will be pivotal in developing the Student Digital Portfolio, assisting students in showcasing their accomplishments and preparing for university and college pathways.

Charged with upholding high standards across all enrichment areas, the Director will cultivate a culture of excellence, intellectual curiosity, service, challenge, and well-being. They will oversee the creation of the Trailblazer curriculum and manage key coordinators, ensuring a robust connection between enrichment and the academic curriculum to foster core skills and values.

This role includes leading the academic enrichment program, collaborating closely with departments to integrate significant opportunities beyond the classroom, and partnering with senior leaders such as the Director of Sport and Director of CAPA. The Director will also assist with staff recruitment, induction, and professional development, including directing CPD related to enrichment and establishing consistent planning and quality assurance protocols.

Furthermore, the Director of Enrichment will play a crucial role in driving innovation throughout the school by aligning with research, technology, and innovation initiatives, working alongside the Vice Principal to ensure these components are woven into the broader enrichment framework.
