About This Role

Job Overview: Established in 2015, Anne Hill International provides international education for students aged 2-13, with aspirations to expand its secondary school campus in the near future. Our mission is to offer affordable, high-quality international education, aimed at developing well-rounded, globally-minded lifelong learners.

Currently, our institution serves approximately 350 students from 30 different countries, supported by a dedicated team of 30 educators from various backgrounds.

We are preparing to launch our secondary school campus in August 2026, which will feature a new curriculum based on the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary, leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Our school is affiliated with the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a Teacher of Design Technology for Year 7 through Year 10, who can initiate and advance projects within a developing program. While experience with IMYC and IGCSE is preferred, it is not a requirement.

All teaching staff are expected to engage in the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and participate in after-school activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Teachers will be responsible for the academic progress and pastoral care of their students in accordance with the school’s Guiding Statements, curriculum, and policies.

  • Set ambitious expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
    • Cultivate a positive, safe, and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student motivation, supports risk-taking in learning, and fosters confidence.
    • Develop lessons with clear objectives that promote active engagement, independence, collaboration, and interdisciplinary connections.
    • Maintain high expectations through effective relationships and inclusive practices.
  • Promote continuous progress and outcomes for all students.
    • Recognize student needs to tailor learning experiences by sequencing the curriculum and building on prior knowledge.
    • Foster student reflection, responsibility, and a thoughtful approach to independent work and study.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge.
    • Create learning opportunities that reinforce concepts, spark interest, and challenge students.
    • Continuously develop professional expertise through ongoing training, focusing on classroom practices that enhance literacy, numeracy, and scholarship.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
    • Design and execute purposeful lessons that address diverse student needs, incorporating clear objectives, constructive feedback, and evidence-based strategies to facilitate progress.
    • Build positive relationships in the classroom and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, student-centered approach that nurtures both learning and wellbeing.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of students.
    • Collaborate with students to set clear, meaningful goals and adjust lessons to meet individual needs using various strategies including differentiation, questioning, active learning, and technology.
    • Utilize assessment, feedback, and reflection to inform teaching practices, support student progress, and create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and challenged.

    • Regularly evaluate student learning through diverse methods, providing clear feedback that aids improvement and progress.
    • Consistently leverage assessment data to inform teaching strategies, guide planning, and assist all students in reaching their potential.

Compensation
