Aldar Education is on the lookout for exceptional Business Studies Teachers to fill a current opening at ADNOC School, located in Ruwais within the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a learning environment that promotes exceptional educational practices.
- Define clear teaching and learning objectives.
- Create engaging tasks that stimulate student interest and participation.
- Establish challenging expectations for students.
- Set clear targets based on students’ prior achievements.
- Identify students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those who are particularly gifted, and ensure their needs are met through tailored differentiation.
- Structure lessons effectively to maintain pace, motivation, and a challenge for students.
- Utilize assessment for learning effectively.
- Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction.
- Uphold discipline in line with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ and promote positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies to:
i. Align teaching methods with content, organize information, present key ideas, and utilize appropriate vocabulary.
ii. Implement effective questioning, attentively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
iii. Choose suitable learning resources and cultivate study skills through library access, I.C.T., and other educational technologies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning objectives and use feedback to enhance teaching practices.
- Grade student work bi-weekly and set progress targets.
- Use performance data to refine lesson planning, ensuring continuous value is added to learning and teaching.
- Systematically assess and document student progress, maintaining records to track understanding, monitor strengths and areas for improvement, and inform future planning.
- Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies and school procedures.
- Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents.
- Engage in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
- Keep subject knowledge current through continuous professional development and professional reading.
- Participate in relevant professional development workshops.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or Economics along with a Teaching Qualification.
- At least two years of post-graduate teaching experience.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to holistic education.
- Recent and consistent participation in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all individuals within the school community.
- Experience with students for whom English is an additional language.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to work.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check.
- Ideally, candidates should be locally available.
