Job Summary
The Admissions and Recruitment Officer plays a vital role in drawing, selecting, and enrolling students who resonate with the mission of TYIS, a distinguished K-10 international school located in Tokyo. This position combines strategic marketing efforts, relationship building, and data-driven recruitment strategies to meet annual enrollment targets while upholding the school’s dedication to academic excellence, diversity, and a welcoming community.
Key responsibilities encompass responding to inquiries via phone, email, and forms, overseeing the application process, managing payment tracking, collaborating with educators and administrators on admissions and assessment protocols, and engaging in recruitment initiatives both on campus and in Tokyo, as well as potentially attending international recruitment events.
Qualifications
Required
- A bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- More than 1 year of experience in school admissions, recruitment, or educational sales/marketing.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level English (both written and spoken).
- A degree in marketing or a similar business area is essential, alongside experience in sales and recruiting, strong verbal and written communication abilities, keen attention to detail, and familiarity with various presentation software and technological tools is preferred.
Preferred
- Knowledge of international schools in Japan.
- Insight into the expatriate and bilingual education environment in Tokyo.
- Experience with data analytics (Excel, Tableau) or digital marketing (Meta Ads, SEO).
