Role Overview:
The Assistant Head (School Community & Student Experience) will be instrumental in enriching the overall student experience by advocating for wellbeing, engagement, and positive interpersonal relationships within the school environment. This role requires close collaboration with students, staff, parents, and external partners to establish a setting where every student feels appreciated and supported.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in pastoral care or welfare positions within an educational context.
- Deep knowledge of child development, safeguarding protocols, and strategies for student wellbeing.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with a wide range of groups, including students, parents, faculty, and external organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in overseeing teams or projects focused on student support services.
- Competence in developing initiatives that encourage inclusivity, raise diversity awareness, implement mental health support programs, and enhance extracurricular participation.
- Proficient in conflict resolution methods and crisis management.
- Familiarity with international education systems is a plus.
