About This Role

About Saint Too Bloom Academy

Saint Too Bloom Academy is an innovative secondary school located in Hong Kong, committed to fostering entrepreneurship and bilingual education. Our dedicated team of educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs has crafted a mission to equip young individuals with the skills necessary to succeed in a swiftly evolving world.

Since the founding of our sister institution, Bloom KKCA Academy, in 2021, we have led the way in bilingual, interdisciplinary, and project-based learning, forging partnerships that span education, business, and social innovation. In 2024, we launched our secondary campus, offering Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programs, in addition to a bespoke Key Stage 3 curriculum. We have also introduced two new pathways—the HKDSE and a US-accredited project-based track—to cater to a variety of learners.

We are currently seeking passionate educators who are dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment that accommodates all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as we strive to create a vibrant, supportive, and high-functioning educational space for emerging learners.

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic Secondary Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). The ideal candidate will oversee the coordination and implementation of support systems for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The primary responsibility of this position is to efficiently implement and monitor personalized provisions. This includes identifying student needs, developing and tracking Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and enrichment plans, as well as coordinating essential resources and intervention strategies to enhance student achievements and curriculum accessibility.

The SENCO will work closely with teaching staff to ensure the incorporation of inclusive practices and differentiated instruction in the classroom. Additionally, they will play a vital role as part of the Pastoral Care Team, addressing safeguarding and social-emotional needs, such as integrating executive functioning skills throughout the curriculum.

This role entails collaboration with external specialists, managing documentation, and providing support to parents and caregivers through effective communication and meetings. The SENCO will ensure that all student support initiatives adhere to school protocols and the legal and safeguarding requirements set forth in Hong Kong.
