About This Role

International School Bangkok (ISB), a distinguished international educational institution in Thailand, is committed to providing exemplary education through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). We are seeking a passionate University and SE Counsellor, who will also take on some teaching duties, to join our team. This position is vital in guiding students through their university application process while nurturing their social-emotional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive university counselling services, including guidance on course choices, application processes, scholarships, and career options.
  • Support students’ social-emotional growth through individual counselling sessions and group workshops.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external organizations to boost student success.
  • Undertake occasional teaching responsibilities aligned with the IB DP curriculum as necessary.
  • Organize university fairs, guest speaker events, and other relevant activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; advanced degrees or certifications in counselling are preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in college/university counselling or related roles within an international school environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of global university admissions processes, especially for IB DP students.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, capable of building rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
