Teacher of PE - from September 2026

Full time, or part time 0.7 or above, depending on your preference

We are seeking a well-qualified and inspirational teacher for PE to join what can only be described as the ‘dream PE team’! PE education and our massive extra-curricular programme are central to who we are as a school and are successful, thriving and very highly-regarded. The PE team is superb; utterly passionate and very friendly. PE is led by a very experienced, supportive and charismatic Director and the team is stable, experienced and very collaborative.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate teacher who will enable the girls to achieve their personal bests. We wish to appoint someone who loves sport and can share this passion with the girls. You will teach wonderfully motivated, sparky, collaborative and hard-working girls as part of a superb team. We can offer part time with a minimum of 0.7 (3 ½ days) or full time and the post would suit both an experienced teacher or someone newer into the profession.

What the Challoner’s High PE Department can offer you:

  • Exceptional students who consistently attain outstanding results and make teaching an absolute pleasure. As our staff say, “Teaching doesn’t get better than this”

  • A positive place to work with a hugely committed and friendly staff team and excellent facilities

  • Excellent opportunities for professional development, including a highly regarded CPD programme.

  • London Fringe allowance

  • Use of staff gym; free staff yoga and fitness classes on site; staff discounts at local shops and restaurants in Little Chalfont, local theatres discounts when available, two-week October half term

The best advert, however, for working at Dr Challoner’s High School will always be our hugely rewarding students and lovely, community-minded staff – this is a genuinely great place to work!

Dr Challoner's High School is a leading selective state grammar school for girls, with a strong academic tradition and an ambitious outlook for the future.  The school has a broad vision for education and is characterised by a highly purposeful pursuit of personal bests with a keen sense of fun bubbling under the surface.  Challoner’s girls are articulate, courteous, sparky, hard-working and achieve highly in all areas.  The school was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in November 2023 and was also rated as ‘leading’ in all categories by Challenge Partners.
