To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology, ideally with experience teaching within IB programmes (MYP and/or DP Design Technology).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging instruction in Design Technology aligned with the IB (MYP/DP) framework.

  • Plan creative, hands-on lessons that develop technical, design, and problem-solving skills.

  • Implement the IB design cycle and inquiry-based learning approaches.

  • Ensure the safe and effective use of tools, machinery, and materials.

  • Assess student work using IB criteria and provide constructive feedback.

  • Support student well-being through active participation in pastoral care.

  • Encourage involvement in design competitions, clubs, and maker activities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or related field.

  • A valid teaching qualification and experience teaching within IB programmes (MYP and/or DP).

  • Strong practical knowledge of workshop tools, materials, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to inspire creativity and innovative thinking in students.

  • Competence with CAD/CAM and digital design tools.

  • Strong differentiation skills to support diverse learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
