The Hamilton International School (THIS), part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), is seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary team. About the Role
We are in search of a committed and student-centered English teacher with experience instructing students in Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and/or IBDP English. The ideal candidate will ignite a passion for literature and language, create enriching educational experiences, and maintain the highest standards for achievement, literacy, and expression.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to students in Grades 6–12, focusing on both High School Diploma and/or IBDP courses.
- Create and implement engaging, well-structured lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
- Utilize effective assessment techniques to monitor student progress and inform lesson planning.
- Adjust teaching methods to accommodate a diverse array of learners, including EAL and advanced students.
- Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment grounded in high expectations.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum, schemes of work, and departmental resources.
- Maintain clear and open lines of communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in the broader school community by engaging in extracurricular and enrichment activities.
- Follow the school’s guidelines for safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or English (with a teaching qualification).
- A valid teaching certification that meets Qatar MOEHE requirements.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, including High School Diploma and/or IBDP English.
- A strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and effective teaching practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- An ability to thrive in a collaborative, international, and multicultural environment.
- A dedication to ongoing professional development and student wellbeing.
