Overview:

The Performance Analyst will be instrumental in gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to facilitate evidence-based decision-making within the Mustang High Performance Team. This role focuses on biometric data collection, video analysis, and dashboard development, equipping coaches and staff to track athlete performance, wellbeing, and growth over time. The successful candidate will also foster innovation by integrating technology and artificial intelligence to enhance analysis and intervention planning throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the collection and interpretation of biometric, physiological, and performance data for all high-performance athletes.
  • Manage the analysis and delivery of video footage from games, training sessions, and performance tests to aid both individual and team development.
  • Design and maintain customized dashboards (e.g., Power BI, TeamBuildr, VALD) to monitor trends, identify issues, and guide coaching decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with coaches to create performance profiles and ensure personalized feedback is provided to athletes and their parents.
  • Generate monthly reports analyzing wellbeing, training load, attendance, behavior, and performance data to pinpoint trends and areas for intervention.
  • Collaborate closely with the High Performance Coordinator to assist with Individual Athlete Program (IAP) reviews through detailed performance summaries.
  • Produce visual and video-based coaching materials to support technical and tactical skill development, including highlight reels, analysis clips, and team reviews.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies and AI tools to improve performance tracking, player monitoring, and auto-tagging software.
  • Aid in the creation of digital portfolios for athletes pursuing scholarships or external performance opportunities.
  • Ensure that all data systems adhere to the school's data protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Contribute to the development of specialized professional development initiatives across the GEMS Network as part of the Centre of Excellence for Sport.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the Director of Sport or High Performance Coordinator to support overarching school objectives and outcomes.
