Job Description
Reports to: The Principal and leadership team concerning the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.
- Establish an inclusive and dynamic learning environment rooted in evidence-based best practices.
- Deliver a curriculum that is rigorous, meaningful, and pertinent, using a transdisciplinary and conceptual framework in accordance with the English National Curriculum.
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching design and technology, along with coding for primary students, integrated within inquiry units.
- Cultivate and maintain authentic, respectful, and positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, valuing social, cultural, and religious diversity.
- Modify the curriculum to address a diverse range of learning needs.
- Attend and actively engage in meetings as required.
- Work collaboratively to create and evaluate Individual Education Plans as necessary.
- Keep planning documents that specify learning objectives, differentiated tasks, and assessment strategies.
- Effectively monitor and record student progress.
- Utilize technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Arrange and maintain a well-organized classroom, encouraging students to take pride in their learning space.
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of classroom management while addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students in a supportive and proactive manner.
- Participate in professional discussions and collaborate with colleagues, sharing insights while respecting confidentiality.
- Advocate for student wellbeing, fostering a culture of safeguarding and child protection, and reinforcing the school-wide dedication to student safety.
- Reflect on personal professional practices to remain updated on contemporary research and best practices.
- Engage in Professional Learning and appraisal processes for personal, professional, and career development.
- Assist in managing pastoral care, health, welfare, and behavior of all students, particularly those in your assigned class.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a subject area followed by a PGCE from an accredited University or College.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience is required, with a preference for applicants who have inquiry-based teaching experience (IB or IPC).
- Applicants must provide original copies of their certificates and academic transcripts for verification.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
