We are currently in search of a Head of Department (HOD) for Mathematics to oversee our Secondary School Mathematics department and implement the UK-IGCSE curriculum.

Job Description

In your role as HOD Mathematics, you will lead and manage the mathematics department, ensuring that teaching and learning are effectively aligned with the UK-IGCSE curriculum. Responsibilities include supporting teachers, creating curriculum plans, tracking student progress, and participating in school-wide academic initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field (minimum requirement)
• A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience at the secondary/high school level in mathematics
• Familiarity with the UK-IGCSE curriculum is preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
• Competence in lesson planning and accurately assessing student performance
• Strong communication skills to foster collaboration among staff, students, and parents
